Turned 20!

I got the package, it was super awesome, the candy was well appreciated, but I still like the letters best, thank you so much. Also, I am in kwun tong still, so I guess I'll have been here 8 months total just like sheung shui I'm pretty happy about it, we've got a lot of investigators that I really care for and have lots of potential. Elder Buss and I are getting along great too so companion stuff isn't a problem. It's actually super cool to be able to stay with my trainee for this long, we've had some pretty cool adventures. My birthday was on moves day, so it had a lot of mixed feelings, having to see elder staheli leave for home. I feel older now in a good way so I guess that's good.

Thank you so much for going to see Elder Staheli, it means the world to me that my family could see the missionary who taught me the most on my mission. It's going to be hard to find a comp I liked better than him and even harder to get as much work done as we did in my first move with him. I'll do my best to be bold like he taught me.

So what does cantonese sound like to you guys? Cantonese is super cool, I love speaking it and learning it, languages are fun.

I hope you had a fun mini vacation, The ogden temple looks awesome, and my mission dad looks pretty leng jai in his mong kok tie.

Salad's story was awesome, she was just like his little sister. Salad is super awesome. I'm glad you had a fun vacation checking out the temple and getting to see elder Staheli. I'll fill out your thingy now.

Random: bo bo go sing
Pictures: one is elder staheli throwing away his old mission suit coat and the other is 'the kwun tong grabber' he's one of the famous crazy people here

Things are Good

I'm not really sure what to write all the time besides "things are good". oh well, I'll try to be more detailed today for you. This week was pretty alright, didn't teach as much as we liked, but we got a ton of people to church, which was awesome. We got the dad and kids of that one family that we found awhile back to church. I was super happy about that. We also went finding on the street together with one of our investigators named tom cause he wanted to see what it was like. Tom looks like chinese jesus, you can imagine what we looked like out on the street. It was awesome. Elder Buss is doing good, we'll find out if I'm moving tomorrow. Probably will. Also, another set of elder's moved into our apartment, so while the zone leaders had summer missionaries we had 8 people living in chinese apartment, which was fun but I'm not going to miss it. It was elder Peterson and elder Au that moved in so I get to live with one of my best friends for a bit:)

Peter Bihn, my convert from a while back is back from mainland, so it's been fun to see him again. He's a great guy. I don't think there is anything else that's new. We'll see.

Make sure to get me pictures. well, I'm doing good, moves is soon and stuff is happening, but it's cool. I'll fill out the thingy now.

Like Father, Like Son

Had another good week, not too much to update you about. We just barely hiked lion's rock again with everybody. It was awesome, took some super awesome pictures that I'll send. It's so weird that it's Elder Staheli's last week now, I'll let you know if I get the info for his homecoming. I'd just try and get in contact with his family if I were you, they'd be fine with it.

It's pretty cool to be in this mission, we've got a pretty good ball rolling so far and all the missionaries and most of the members are super pumped about the work. Elder Staheli got another baptism this week, it was super cool to see how well he got treated by their ward. I wish every ward could do that.

I hope home is doing good, sounds pretty good. It also sounds like everyone is getting married. Send me pictures, I'm not being trunkie, I have i right to see who my cousins are marrying.

Moves are next week, so I'll let you know whether or not I moved yet like the p day after next p day I think. Things are going good though, we're working with some cool people right now, pretty happy about that, just need to get them to church now.

Random: Monkeys are scary

Happy Birthday Jug!!!

This has been a good week, jug got a lot of people at church for his birthday. We're doing pretty good, the biggest issue is all our awesome investigators have to work on sunday, super mafaahn. Working hard though. Things are pretty good, still super cool to see so many miracles happen all the time. Hong Kong is an awesome place to serve, it fits me pretty well. I hope jug is having a happy birthday, hopefully my package gets to you guys soon.

Â I can't believe Matt is getting back already, I still have like a year left;) The times are changing, so am I too, I guess. I'll make sure to get you guys the info for elder staheli's homecoming, you probably could ask one of his sisters in law over facebook or something.

As for my package, I also need more deodorant soon, so that would be nice.

Not too much to report this week, the work is moving forward, we're all happy, and things are going good, I love ya'll and hope everyone stays safe. Tell Jug Happy birthday for me, he seems way taller and older than I remember him, I'm exited to see how much everyone has grown since I've been gone.

I'm glad Matt's mom, Rosie, and Addie are doing good, We'll have to check out that Habit burger when I'm back, sounds super good. Tell matt he's a boss for me and to keep in contact while I'm still in the wonderful Hong Kong. thanks for the pics, jug looks super leng jai. Tell him happy birthday for me!

Lots of Baptisms

this was a super stressful week, but we got a baptism! So that's cool. I'll talk more about it when I send pics. Just dropped off our summer missionaries, it's been an adventure. We found so many cool new people with them, the miracles I've seen are amazing. We'll see what the future has in store for kwun tong, elder Buss, and me. Looks good though. Sheung Shui, my first area, got 6 baptisms yesterday!!!!! 4 of them was an entire family!!!! Super awesome. So that's about it on my side. Elder Staheli is only trunkie when it doesn't distract from the work. He's boss like that.

Home sounds like you're having fun. The 24th was good here too, we didn't celebrate, but we got a ton of lessons that day. I miss fireworks, Were they good this year? You should send me pics of trevors wedding invitations, I think I know who she is. Not for sure though. Keep up the good work at home, seems like you're doing pretty good despite difficulties and stuff.

I can't believe I'm turning 19 soon. (He is confused, he's actually turning 20) Missions fly by so fast, I've been thinking of things for my birthday package. Still can't think of that many things, but I would like to request microwave popcorn. It doesn't really exist here and it was awesome when Elder Williams got it in his packages. Also maybe fruit by the foot would be nice.

For pday: just relaxing with some other Elders.
Best thing this week: Ivan getting baptized, plus like a boatload of other people.
Food: tried kimchi dumplings, super good.
Investigators: lots, we'll see who sticks around after the dust settles from all the summer missionary craziness
Next moves: end of august.
Story:  Ivan: Ivan was found by a kwun tong missionary like a year ago, but went on a foreign exchange thing to america for a year, they kept in contact and as soon as Ivan got back he wanted to get baptized, so we worked it out and he got baptized on saturday. Super stressful arranging things for the baptism, but it worked out.
Funny: Joey fungi, my summer missionary.
Random: chinese members think dang it is a swear word.
Pictures: ok

Weeeeellll  that's about it. Things are good, stay awesome, keep up the good work. Love you all.

Summer Missionaries

This was a fun week, Our summer missionaries are awesome. Elder Buss's is from Sheung Shui! It's been a fun experience. It's a little different working with teenagers and not trained missionaries. Mine is brother Fung, he's cute and funny. This week had lots of finding cause we split investigators and lessons and stuff. We got 50 hours of finding total between the two of us. That's a lot. Had some cool stuff happen this week, lots of stress involved. Sometime missionary work is like that, so it's fine.

Honey sent me boating pics, looks like awesome boating with the sunset like that. Keep having fun. I don't know what I want for my b-day this time, maybe some candy. I've been thinking about getting a suit again, but still thinking about it. Matt has like a month left, that's crazy. Elder Staheli is leaving on the 22nd, I'll let you know where his farewell is. That would be cool if you could meet him, he's probably taught me the most out of anyone on my mission. Yeah, the work is going good here, we keep pretty busy, so it's nice. Tell the Pettit's I said congratulations!!

I hope I'm not getting terrible at email, I just don't know what to write anymore. oh well. It's good, the work is good. I love you and hope that you have another great week!!

Thanks for the pictures, they made my day!! I'm so proud of everyone for skiing! Keep having summer fun. ga yauh! I'll fill in the thingy now:

65th Anniversary

This was a good week, had lots of cool stuff happen. We had a huge service on Saturday for the 65th anniversary of the church in Hong Kong. There were so many members in the Wan Chai chapel, it took up 3 giant floors packed for it. super cool. Also did zone splits and I went to a place on the island called West Point. pretty cool. I'll send Honey pics. Not much else happened besides Elder Buss is a boss and did super awesome this week. Also, we are getting summer missionaries today for two weeks. Every summer, the young men here can do summer missions and live with us, so that will be fun.

Trevor is engaged?! To who? How? Why? When are they set to get married? Home sounds crazy. Hopefully Apollo Burger will stick around for me to eat there again, knock on wood. Well, that's about it for now, not much to report today. Have fun, 加油! 我 愛 你們! 我希望你們會好開心!

Sai Gung

This was a good week. It was hot, but it was good. The temple was awesome, got to see the new video. Super cool. We also had zone training meeting on the 4th of July, with one of the main themes being freedom and the Book of Mormon, it was pretty boss. Had some cool miracles happen thisweek as well, finding some cool people in some pretty cool ways. One guy got contacted by 4 different missionaries 4 different times in the last month and finally gave up and met with us. that was pretty sweet.

We went to a place called Sai Gung for p-day today. It's a nice layed back place, right by a big reservoir people go boating there and it made me think about boating back home, so guess it was appropriate that ya'lls went this week. I hope you all had fun.

I got the package this week, the candy and electric razor is awesome. I'm saving a lot of time getting ready for the day now. I think my favorite part was your letter to me though. Thanks for being an awesome mom and sending packages and stuff. I sent a package not too long ago, so hopefully you get that soon. not sure how long it'll take, I sent it by sea mail on accident, so...

We'll see how things go, tell Liz I said hi. I love ya'll and hope you keep doing well.

Love,
Elder Osborne

Normal Day

Turns out we're having p-day today and temple day is a normal day, but on wednesday, so that's cool. Had a good week this week, had a lot of cool little stuff happen. It woul be cool to go to Five-Alls post mission, but it'll probably be gone by time I'm back, but we'll see. You should show me a pic of the new table, I want to see what's changing around the house.

Tell Lou happy birthday for me. Has she grown up at all, besides her height? What was the final testimony meeting like? What did they say? let me know how Ryan's home coming is, that would be cool. Also, do your best to find like every Hong Kong person in Utah, I want to talk to all of them.

Not much to report this week, let more know if there's anymore questions I can answer or anything. I love ya'lls and hope you have a good next week:)

Also, yes we do eat some crazy fruits and stuff, not super crazy though. The only huge difference is like lychee fruit, more mangoes, dragon fruit, lots of melon stuff. Nothing terribly special.
Wearing: The gray tie we bought together at the mall
For Pday: relaxing, turns out temple day is this wednesday and we got this p-day too:)
Moves: not till like the end of august
Investigators: got a super gold guy who just got back from being an exchange student in america, his name is Ivan. He's cool.
I am studying: characters and how to use the Book of Mormon more in missionary work.
I am feeling: pretty dang good.
Story: can't think of a crazy one right now, just super cool, small miracles happening left and right, like miracles getting in people's houses, getting people from the street into the church and having members miraculously there to help us teach. stuff like that,.
Pics: ok. th first one is all of elder staheli's stuff he's bringing back from china, let me know if there is anything special that you want so I can get it for you. the second is me having fun with elder staheli's chinese sword. We had a photo shoot at the end of one day last week.

Yeah that's about it,

Things Are Good

This was a pretty cool week, things are going good. Moves didn't change my apartment at all, so I'm still training elder Buss, Elder Staheli and I will spend his last move together. Elder Pincock is still here too. Our apartment is awesome. Moves didn't change much stuff for us, a sister in my district is training, but that's about it. Stuff in Kwun Tong is good, we're finding new people, getting tons of miracles we don't deserve, great stuff. Home is gonna be so different by the time I'm back. Crazy stuff is going on, What's up with a new table? You should send me pics when it gets moved in. There's not much else to report for this week, we're working hard and hopefully keep progressing the work 'round these parts. I'm glad everyone but dad's back is doing good. I missed the Larsen's summer solstice party this year, maybe next time. 加油! 我愛你們!

Also next week is temple day, we'll be going on July 2nd, bye love you.
