Rough Week

I'm glad things are going better on the home front, things here were a bit rough this week. Don't worry, it'll be ok, just some rough spots with investigators and stuff. Training is going well though. Elder Buss has a really good attitude with stuff and I'm doing my best to train him like I was trained and help him as much as I can with the language and stuff. I'm glad to have a good trainee that is adapting to Hong Kong well and is willing to help and learn.

I'm glad you're doing your best to help people in relief society and stuff. I like stories with that. I'm glad the fam is doing better than last week. Keep it up.

Everyone I met here in Hong Kong that I know of is Ephraim, just like us. I don't know if by adoption or by a straight line, but I will say that I've seen things here that are proof enough to me that at some point China had the gospel. There's some cool stuff that I'll tell you about later. I heard Russia is the place for lost tribe names, so maybe that's where they're kind of focused.

That's about it from my side, not sure what else to report, I'll try to give more stories in the future.

Elder Osborne

Good Trainee

What in the world happened? It's sounds like all the siblings have been through a war zone. Jug broke his arm again?! Why is it always him? I feel so bad for y'alls. I'm doing good, so you don't have to worry, I got a good trainee. His name is Elder Buss,  he's really got a good attitude and is super willing to learn and grow. I get a lot of help from Elder Staheli, Pincock, and Durham too. They got moved into a tripanionship, so that's cool cause we get five people in our apartment now. Elder Wiliams got moved to Tai Wo, right next to Sheung Shui, my first area. Training is kinda hard getting started, cause new missionaries don't know what's going on, can't speak much, and can't understand much either. But Elder Buss is pretty good for me, he's a bit quiet, but he's opening up and we both love Doctor Who so I'm happy. Things overall are pretty good though.

This week, we are gonna take it easy for p-day. We're all a bit tired. We're doing good though and keeping good morale and stuff. Missions are the most tiring and happy things ever. I've been tired a lot this week, but I've been super happy too, It's fun to share something I love so much and help someone grow like I did in my first move. That's about it for me this week, I hope things get better for the troops back home, I love you all and I'll pray that things'll get better.

Being a trainer is: super tiring but awesome
For Pday we are: taking it easy and hanging out in the apartment
Story: When we went to the mission office to switch comps, the ap's were announcing who was training who, and there was a couple from the U.K. that I wanted to train, but I got this weird feeling I was training elder buss when I looked at him across the room, same feeling as when I saw elder williams right before last moves calls. so now I'm training elder Buss. That's pretty cool.
Food: normal, mcdonalds and lots of good chinese food

Pictures: ok these are me and elder williams like 2 pdays ago and I'll send more

T-T-Training

This move is almost over and I found out last night that I will be staying in Kwun Tong and training. That's kind of exciting  news. I think I'll be ok though, I just need to kick it up a notch before my trainee gets here on Thursday.
Conference was really good! I liked the themes, there were a lot of good talks, I liked how it was kinda like stand up for what you believe and love people. I liked conference a lot. Holland was amazing as ever. Nelson and Scott were also personal favorites. Plus there were some really good seventies talks as well. It was weird to see the Carrs in conference, but kinda cool. Tell them I said hi.
Things are going really good in Kwun Tong even besides all the crazy stuff happening. Our investigators are all doing good and the ward is good. I'm really going to miss Elder Williams, he's helped me learn and grow a lot and we became really good friends through this move.

For Pday: We just went to this amazing Indian buffet in wan chai called JoJo's. It was
awesome food, lots of delicious curry.

Teach us how to say something: how to say thank you(not for gifts):mh goi saai.
Color tie today: purple
 Investigators: lots
Story: I found out I was training and I got super stessed out, so I took an ibiprofen and drank lots of soda that night while reporting numbers to Elder Staheli.
What you do in HK for Easter: watch conference and work.
Pictures:ok, acually the computer wont let me this time, We're emailing at a different
place than normal this week. sorry.

ONE YEAR!!!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM!!!!!!! It sounds like you had a very good time this week, yearmark celebration, birthday, conference, that's a lot of stuff to celebrate. Can you believe I've already been out for a year? I can't. Time here goes by way too fast. Elder Durham and I were joking the other day about trying to extend our missions for another two years, I know you wouldn't be too excited, but it would be good. I'm gonna miss this place.

I thought conference was going to be all about missionary work, was it more like that than before? How are things going lately with stuff? HK is doing good, we keep finding new awesome investigators and the ones we are already teaching are progressing pretty well. We are going to this place called "the Peak" in Central today to celebrate our year mark(me, Elder Durham, and Elder Peterson) It's gonna be boss, the view is incredible I heard. I'll send pics next week.

Things really are going good here, People say Hong Kong is a hard mission, but it only depends on your attitude. If you have a faithful attitude, you will have success, if not, then you won't. I'm glad that I have learned that lesson here, I've been really blessed. We're working hard too, that makes a big difference as well.

How is home?  How's Zach? What's the work like in Finland? That's all I got this week. I love you and hope you have a happy birthday (it's the 7th already here, we're lucky time changes let me email during your b-day:)

Next temple day: mh ji. don't know
Best food this week: chinese style papa murphy's pizza.(It's different)
Investigators: Randy just got baptized, peter just got his answer and now wants to be baptized, we got this new guy named tom from another pair of elders that looks like chinese jesus. His hair looks like it's from a herbal essences commercial.
Story: don't remember any right now, sorry.
Pictures: ok
Color tie today: wearing commoner clothing today
For Pday: we are going to "the Peak"
Do you think you'll be transferred? I have this forgoing feeling that I might. Probably not, but We'll see.

Love,
Elder Osborne

One is me and Randy and the other is me and Ernest (member) on splits less-active finding. Ernest converted from catholic 2 or 3 years ago, he's super interesting, but he loves missionary work and his best friends are the missionaries, even though he won't admit it.
